Kiehn Park

The James H. Kiehn Memorial Recreation Park, also known as Berkshire Hills Park, is a recreation area in our community that is accessible at the end of Creek Road (near the walking bridge over the railroad tracks) and from Ashley Drive. The park was established by the BHCA in the early 1980s and has been maintained by its members ever since.

The park is open to all Berkshire Hills residents from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. It features a pavilion with electricity and picnic tables, a large ball field with a backstop, and a playground.

The pin oak tree at the playground was planted when then-BHCA President Jim Kiehn was tragically killed in an airplane crash in November 1981. There is a plaque by the pin oak that reads "Kiehn Park" in Jim's memory.
